Ceilidh and Haggis Supper

Davids mate (who was born in Greenock by the way!) plays in an Auckland pipe band and invited us along to a ceilidh/haggis supper taking place in the neighbouring bay to us. We took along our french friends' florent and sara to teach them how to scottish dance :)

Along with the 'Gay Gordons' and 'Dashing White Sargeant' we think the organisers put their own little kiwi spin on some of the dances as we didnt have a clue how to do them ha ha!

After dancing, watching the pipe band and irish dancers they had the traditional 'tae a haggis' ceremony, then we enjoyed some food and danced some more!

It was a great night and we even bumped into some fellow scots who were pleased to hear our accents. As david didn't bring his full kilt outfit to N.Z he had to do with a casual kilt and football socks....I think he confused some of the locals :)
