Weekend In Coromandel

A few hours drive after work on Friday and we arrived at Coromandels' ShellyBeach Holiday park to spend the weekend. On Saturday we had a walk along hot water beach where at low tide you can dig a hole and experience the thermal waters, we then drove to Hahei beach and took a boat trip around the Marine reserve and sea caves.
On Sunday morning we went back to the Driving Creek Railway and Pottery where David and I have been before, there is a little train that takes you on a ride up through the tops of the rainforest where there are amazing views of the Coromandel Peninsula.

Afterwards we went to Waiau Waterworks, there are loads of different interactive water features throughout the gardens aswell as a flying fox, swimming hole, human hamster wheel (where david and jamie spent hours entertaining themselves) rope swings etc....after an afternoon there we all ended up soaked it was such a good laugh.
