Manly - Sydney

We woke to another scorching sunny day and took the bus to Manly, a seaside resort popular for its' great beaches. When we arrived we took a stroll round some of the many shops and had lunch in a pavement cafe looking over Manly Beach. David and Susan had recommended Shelly beach as it is less busy and good for swimming so we took a short walk to it where we sunbathed, swam and read our books for the rest of the afternoon.

We took the ferry back to the city for some more great views and more sun...ooft! On our way out from the harbour we noticed shark nets all along the shore..so scary.

Back at the apartment Davids son and daughter, Jock and Ellie came over for some dinner on the balcony and lots of drinks..It was a really late night and such a good laugh. :)
