A Kiwi Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas! Well..with all our parcels from home sitting under the tree and our first Christmas alone together and in the sun! we got up excitedly after ten. In traditional style lorna woke david up in the morning by phoning us early ha ha. It took us ages to open all our pressies both from home and from each other...we were completely spoiled! We spoke to all our fam on skype which was really nice and kept us from feeling too homesick. As it was so nice outside we decided to take a quick walk before starting on the dinner and we couldn't believe how busy the beach was. People were everywhere bbq-ing, sunbathing and swimming in the sea, we wanted to keep it as traditional as poss so headed back to make some yummy christmas day dinner :) Florent came round for a few beers with D and to say goodbye as he was leaving for france on boxing day :( After a couple of hours in the kitchen gail succesfully made a Roast Pork loin with apple sauce and all the trimmings! After dins we took another walk along the front to Kohimarama Beach and then returned for davids recreation of his mums trifle back home, IT WAS HUGE! We lazed on the sofa watching christmas movies to end the day.
